Wolly Chaps on Marble Base

At 35" tall this is a very dramatic sculpture a huge, double size version lost wax, cast bronze, recreation of the Famous original sculpture " Wooly Chaps" after the original by Frederic Remington, one of the most prolific American artsts of all time. It portrays a rugged Western frontier cowboy character fighting to stay aboard a rearing, plunging bronco, with a stirrup swinging free, a quirt in one hand and a fistful of mane and reins in the other. This version depicted by Remington similar from his famed Bronco Buster but he added the wooly leggings to the cowboy.
